The Regional Development Forum, the national Symposium on “China and the world: the regional economic opening and development” held successfully in Hangzhou from Nov. 23rd to Nov. 25th 2007. The Symposium jointly sponsored by the Chinese Society of World Economy and REOD. Over 100 scholars and experts discussed the regional economic development, regional economic integration, foreign trade strategy and foreign direct investment. Delegates said that the meeting has deepened the understanding of the theory of the regional economic opening and development, and further enhanced exchanges and cooperation between universities and research institutions.
